Derrigimlagh Bog is located about 6km south of Clifden. At Derrigimlagh Bog, you will pass the scattered remnant of the Marconi transatlantic wireless station, which was where the first transatlantic radio signal was transmitted in 1907. While you’re there, you will also see the site of the Alcock and Brown plane crash landing; there is aeroplane wing there paying tribute to the victims.
