The only town on Dingle Peninsula

Dingle is a small town located on the Dingle Peninsula, and it is part of the Gaeltacht region. Dingle is filled with traditional Irish music and heritage as well as a number of arts and craft shops. Dingle Distillery, one of five only in Ireland, was launched in 2012. While you’re in Dingle, be sure to make a trip to the Blasket Islands, a small archipelago located just off the Dingle Peninsula on the edge of Ireland. You can wander through the ruined cottages on the main island of the Blasket Islands and learn about all the history there. Be sure to also check out Mount Brandon, about 14km north of Dingle, during your stay. Mount Brandon rises 952m above the ground, and it is quite popular with Irish Catholic pilgrims.
