Home of Old Head

Kinsale is a historic port and fishing town on the coast near the Old Head of Kinsale. An early lighthouse was established at the Old Head in the 17th century, and today, it is quite popular with golfers who wish to play on its 18 hole golf course that offers stunning views of the Atlantic. Kinsale is popular with tourists for its restaurants, and it also holds an annual ‘Gourmet Festival.’ Kinsale also has some important historical buildings in town, including Desmond Castle and Charles Fort.
