Sligo Town

Sligo Town has a population of roughly 20,000 residents. Not only is it the largest urban centre in the northwest of Ireland, it is the regional capital of the area as well.

Sligo Town is filled with Irish history and culture. The town is also an important commercial, industrial, retail, and service centre to the area. Sligo is a popular town for tourists to stop, and it is situated right along the route of the Wild Atlantic Way. Although technically not classified as a city, Sligo is not your typical small town. Be sure to stop by Sligo Town for a few nights during your journey!
